I have a love-hate relationship with Russian food. I love its full fat content, the comforting flavors, the (extreme) use of sour cream and mayonnaise to every dish possible. I hate the lack of variety, the over-reliance on certain spices (please stop putting dill on everything), and what Russian food ultimately does to my waist line (20 lbs, where did you come from?!) But on a cold day, sometimes all you want is a dish that will stick to your bones…literally.
